Web3 Discord bots have been growing quickly on Top.gg over the last few months. We are excited to highlight some of these trending new bots that surround the crypto, blockchain, DAO and NFT space while sharing the developer stories and inspiration behind them.
WTF bot by Protein
For our first Web3 bot developer highlight we have the WTF bot created by Protein, a place for people and ideas to grow. It’s an accessible Web3 glossary bot to help those new to Web3 understand the crazy jargon and terminology! Just ask the bot ‘?word’ in any channel or DMs and you’ll get a Web3 definition! Users are constantly updating the database with Web3 slang and terms and anyone can add to it via this form. Don’t forget to add your eth address or ens domain if you contribute! You can check out the WTF bot and add it to your Discord server here. If you’re curious to learn more about the world of Web3, you can explore their community’s tools, tips, concepts, guides and discussions here.
gmBOT by Layer3xyz
For our second Web3 bot developer highlight we have layer3xyz’s gmBOT! gm’s are the easiest form of participation in a DAO & since community is the core of DAOs, the more ways organizations can retain participants, the better. Their Discord members, like most others, love saying gm. They wanted to give members a way to track gm streaks & empower communities to see who the most active participants in the gm “ritual” are. gmBOT gamifies the gm ritual, and keeps track of total gm’s across Discord Servers. As of right now, over 40K gm’s have been recorded by gmBOT! You can check out their bot and add it to your Discord server here.
BPM Web3 bot
For our third Web3 bot developer highlight we have BPM bot. This bot is a Web3 music bot that currently supports Catalog, Zora and Sound.xyz music NFTs and is a community-funded public good. Matthew Chaim shared the inspiring story behind the creation of BPM bot with us. He was inspired to fix this with Web3 and build a Discord bot that streams songs from Catalog, the music NFT marketplace. He created a crowdfund on Mirror, put out a call for Discord bot developers to bring this bot to life and then BPM bot was born.Check out the BPM Web3 music bot and add it to your Discord server here.
Gas Notifier bot
For our fourth Web3 bot developer highlight we have Gas Notifier bot. Developer Will Hunter was tired of constantly checking ethereum gas prices & wanted automatic alerts for reasonable prices. He built a Gas Notifier Discord bot where you can set a max level for gas & receive a Discord DM once gas dips below that price. Now, when you find a cool project, you can set an $ETH gas alert and run the transaction once you get a DM! You can check out the Gas Notifier Discord Bot and add it to your Discord server here.
Tip.cc bot
For our fifth Web3 bot developer highlight we have Tip.cc Bot created by Tip_cc. This bot is a multi-cryptocurrency tip bot & is one of the most popular bots in our #crypto category on Top.gg. Users can easily send crypto tips to anyone on Discord. Users love it because it’s fast, reliable, supports many currencies & has great support. Tip_cc bot aims to make sending & receiving crypto easy, even for newbies. Users can even send coins to other users who don't have a wallet! There are no minimums & no fees on tips.
