Halloween Web Design Contest 2025: The Winners Have Risen!
This October, our community went full spooky mode with the Top.gg Halloween Web Design Contest 2025, themed around "The Graveyard of Bots"!
Designers, developers, and creatives were challenged to give Top.gg a seasonal makeover - think haunted homepages, cursed dashboards, eerie 404 pages; all inspired by the doomed bots that unfortunately do not make it past our reviewers!
From clever redesigns to spooky mini-games, our community truly brought the haunted spirit of Top.gg to life on our screens. After careful judging by our Staff Team, we're thrilled to reveal the winners of this event!
1st Place - phillip30
It seem's eerily familiar... phillip30's homepage keeps the bones of our UX and wraps it in neon-eerie lore: poems for every fallen bot, tags as crimes, and a vote for revival button to raise the dead! The result is playful, legible, and unmistakably on brand. Congratulations to our Pumpkin King of 2025!
2nd Place - daaphnee
Keeping in line with Top.gg's identity, daaphnee created a fully interactive Akinator-style guessing game, guided by a mysterious Gatekeeper who lurks in the graveyard. Instead of a dead end, the missing page becomes a mini-adventure: the Gatekeeper asks a series of eerie questions to divine which fallen bot you’re thinking of.
3rd Place - sakura_4570
Inspired by the classic Discord 404 Easter egg, sakura_4570 created a two-part Halloween experience. Beginning with a playful animated 404 scene: four of the doomed bots approach a house on Halloween night, trick-or-treat bags in hand… until Top.gg bursts through the door and chases them off. Quirky and charming, but the real magic comes from the secret button.
Hidden in the 404 page is an interactive jack-o-lantern you can click to launch a fully playable, Top.gg-themed Pac-Man style mini-game.
Thank you to all the brave souls who ventured into the Graveyard of Bots this October. Your designs and concepts breathed life into our darkest corners. Until the next spOooOooOoky challenge...
